Computershare BoardWorks® Solution Hosting Expanded to Australia and UK
Expands global footprint
TORONTO, December 15, 2011 - Computershare Limited (ASX: CPU), a leading financial services provider for the global securities industry, announced today that companies now have a choice of three continents for the hosting of their BoardWorks® board portal solution from Computershare Governance Services.
This must-have solution for corporate boards, already hosted through Computershare’s US and Canadian facilities, will provide innovative technology locally to clients throughout the globe. With unparalleled flexibility, clients can simply choose the location that makes the most sense for their business.
The recent increase in demand for board portals has in large part been driven by the adoption of iPads® in the boardroom. Computershare’s BoardWorks solution has been available for download from Apple iTunes® for many months, which has led to enthusiastic adoption of the product and expansion of its use for existing clients.
“With today’s increasingly regulated environment, clients with a global presence have been asking us for more choices in terms of where we are able to host their data,” said Computershare Governance Services President, Mark Selinger. “Because Computershare is a truly global player, we are able to leverage our worldwide, quality-leading facilities to offer our clients the broadest choice of locations in the board portal marketplace.”
For Computershare Governance Services, this was a natural extension of its BoardWorks product suite, as the solution already utilizes Computershare’s in-house infrastructure systems for the industry leading Global Entity Management System (GEMS).
